Middleton Old Cemetery - Section E

Section E lies to the South-West of the cemetery. Enter through the main entrance and bear right onto the tarmac path. At the end of the path turn left and continue to the end of this path. There are two paths to your right forming a triangular point. This point is grave E266A.

Layout and Numbering

Grave E1 is at the North-West corner of the Section, with A2 immediately South of that, so on each row the lower numbers are to the North.

As can be seen on the plan below, a number of additional graves were made in this section. I have been able to estimate the location of most of these, however in the grave register, for grave 63, there is a 63B and for 164 there is a 164E. As there is no unused space adjacent to these graves I have so far not been able to locate them.

On the plan below, Green indicates a used plot. Red is unused and Yellow are additional used graves not on the original plan. For the yellow graves, I have had to use a best estimate as to the actual location.
